In all cases, the Listing Agent represents the seller. The Listing Agent's role is to find a buyer at the highest price and best possible terms for their client, the seller. As a potential buyer, don't tell the listing agent anything you would not want the seller to know -- you are not protected by confidentiality in this relationship. The listing agent is required to inform the seller of any facts that may influence the seller's decision.

If an agent is not working for you as a Buyer Agent, they are working against you as a Listing Agent.
